Green
Australian alt-indie rock artist LANES is set to release his latest track, “Green,” on June 9th. Inspired by bands like Arctic Monkeys and Tame Impala, LANES creates music that reflects his inner cosmos and perspectives on the universe around him.
“Green” explores the struggle and inner conflict as we confront inevitable change and evolve throughout the course of our lives. The song deals with unhealthy attachments or habits that no longer serve us and the need to find the inner strength to move on to the next phase of life.
LANES reveals that a lot of his lyrics are pulled from his subconscious, giving different scenarios and meanings to his songs over time. The creative process for “Green” began with experimentation with synthesizers, developing a chord progression and building up layers. The recording process began in mid-2022 at the private studio of his great friend and producer/engineer, Marcus Davidson, with whom he shares a great trust in each other’s intuition when it comes to music.
Having released his first singles in 2021 and his EP debut “Bloom” in 2022, LANES signed with Rexius Records later that year, continuing his artistic path.
As LANES continues to grow and evolve as an artist, “Green” serves as a powerful reminder of the need to embrace change and find the courage to move forward. The track will be available on all major streaming platforms on June 9th.
