“Can’t Sleep” – Navigating Recent Heartbreak
Commuter’s Poignant New Single
American indie-electronic duo Commuter is set to release their latest single, “Can’t Sleep,” on January 31st. Echoing the sounds of artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Elderbrook, and Lane8, this deeply personal track explores the emotional aftermath of a breakup, capturing the struggle of adjusting to life alone.
“Can’t Sleep” channels the emptiness and longing of recent grief through its atmospheric sound. The track blends poignant lyrics and subtle synths with a haunting vocal performance, creating a reflective space for listeners to connect with their own experiences of love and loss.
Written by duo member Blake Milliser during a challenging time in his life, the track evolved through multiple versions over the past four years. Co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Nico Koufakis and Jake Klyn, the other half of Commuter, the song’s evocative soundscape ensures a heartfelt and immersive sonic experience.
Commuter’s creative process is nurtured by the unique synergy between its members. Drawing from personal experiences and a talent for storytelling, they craft songs that are both engaging and emotionally resonant. Since their 2022 debut, the duo has released three singles, culminating in their signing with Rexius Records the same year.
Don’t miss the release of “Can’t Sleep” on January 31st, an enthralling song for anyone navigating the complexities of heartbreak and loss.
