Calm When I’m Lovin’ You
Swedish singer/songwriter Princis announces the release of his new single “Calm When I’m Lovin’ You” on May 5th, an ode to the feeling of safety that comes with being in love,
The song was created in collaboration with Grammy-awarded jazz drummer Sebastian Brydniak, bassist Erik Johansson, keyboard player Rune Gardell, singers Ewelina Westin and Sara Grafström, and harmonica player Mikael Strömqvist, with a three-chord progression inspired by Jason Mraz-style vocals and a Americana/country vibe.
“The world can harm you but you’re still calm since you got all you need, that love.” explains Princis. The lyrics express a willingness to go to any length to protect the one you love and the calm that comes with knowing that love is enough.
Princis’ music reflects his journey towards self-improvement and self-love, inspired by artists like Jack Johnson and John Mayer. “To use music to fill myself and other people with beautiful, strengthening messages and feelings. That is my dream,” he says.
Princis has been selected twice for P4 Nästa, and has released three albums, including “it’s ok to take it slow” in 2021 and “Hemma” in 2022. He also released a rap album in 2021 under the artist name Ecta. He was signed to Gothenburg-based Rexius Records in 2021.
“Calm When I’m Lovin’ You” is a testament to Princis’ growth as an artist and his commitment to spreading positivity through music. The song will be available on all major streaming platforms on May 5th.
