“High again.”: Harry Wanne’s Reflections on Mental Health Struggles
Discover The Swedish Artist’s New Eclectic Song
Sweden’s hip-hop artist, Harry Wanne explores a new sound with “High again.” scheduled to release on October 6th. The high-tempo track’s groovy guitar channels sounds reminiscent of Nicky Youre, and an eclectic style similar to artists like Marshmello, delving deep into the human psyche, as it explores the struggles of mental health.
Recorded in 2022, “High again.” was co-written by Harry Wanne and Jonathan Thorpenberg, who also served as the producer. Drawing inspiration from the mental health challenges faced by someone close to Harry, the poignant lyrics expose the raw emotions of a soul in turmoil, even as the music maintains an energetically ambiguous atmosphere.
With its pop influences, “High again.” brings a stark contrast in the sound of Harry Wanne, while also displaying his talent for portraying raw and genuine emotions. Following the heartfelt debut “Galen” in 2020—a tribute to his mother’s battle with cancer—and the 2021 single “Money” Harry’s songs underscore the healing power of music amidst life’s trials.
Having teamed up with Gothenburg’s Rexius Records in 2019, the future looks promising for Harry Wanne. Stay tuned for the release of “High again.” on October 6th.
