The Change You Made

The Change You Made

Life-changing love

Swedish rock artist Edvin Stais laid bare his heart in his new release “The Change You Made”, a ballad inspired by the sound of bands like Eagles, Pink Floyd and The War On Drugs, with a passionate vocal performance that can remind you of the emotional singing style of artists like Elvis Presley.

“I don’t think I’ve ever written a song that is as genuine and based on my life as this one”, confesses Edvin, reflecting on the profound honesty of the song’s lyrics. “I’ve written about things in my life before, but not like this time”, “It’s like an autopsy – you can’t hide anything”.

“It’s a song about feeling safe, seeing how life itself falls into place. How the horrible burden of loneliness can be dispelled by love”. The track reflects the transformation that has taken place in Edvin’s life since his encounter with love. “I actually enjoy my time being alive nowadays. That’s a big difference for me”.

“The Change You Made” was recorded in Gothenburg’s Stigbergsstudion with the assistance of producer Petter Lithvall, who also recorded the song’s guitar solo, “his tones really do have emotions in them. I love that”, relays Edvin, speaking about Lithvall’s performance.

Edvin Stais signed with Gothenburg-based Rexius Records in 2021, releasing his two first singles with the label in 2022. He’s now preparing for the release of “The Change You Made” on March 31st.
